Fungi Foraging

Forage
The Fun of the

Fancy yourself as a fungi expert? Always wondered which mushrooms are actually safe to eat? TheCanoeMan invites you to join him and Tony Leech of the Norfolk & Norwich Naturalists for a full- day fungi forage. The course will consist of a morning identification session at Little Plumstead Village Hall before heading to the woods to forage for fungi. You’ll then return to base and sort through your findings and try to identify what you’ve found using identification sheets and books and of course, the knowledge of the experts.

“Thank you so much for the Fungi forage, we really enjoyed it. Tony was really passionate about the whole subject and was very informative with lots of funny anecdotes. It was an interesting introduction to the fascinating and very confusing world of the fungi family......I think we will be happy to hunt and photograph the fungi but leave the eating of them until we understand them a lot more.!!
My son and Daughter were so surprised to find so many different varieties and we had a great time with lots of laughs digging about in the undergrowth looking for the 'biggest one'.
Thank you again Tony, it was great.”
