Norfolk Broads Camping Canoe Trails

Norfolk Broads Camping Canoe Trails - 1, 2* night canoe trails exploring some of Norfolk's most beautiful rivers. At the end of each day relaxing with friends and family to discuss the day’s adventures at one of our campsites in the heart of the countryside. Most people opt for our two day trail, arriving on the first evening, spending the next day on the water, followed by another night under canvas (we use the same campsite for both nights so there is no need to re-pitch tents) and a second day on the water, returning home that evening. Of course we can arrange extra nights and days for you; it's just a case of talking to us. - TheCanoeMan, Canoeing & Kayaking in the Norfolk Broads National Park, England, UK

1-4 night* canoe trails exploring some of Norfolk's most beautiful rivers. At the end of each day you can relax with friends and family to discuss the day's adventures at one of our campsites in the heart of the countryside.

Most people opt for our two day trail, arriving on the first evening, spending the next day on the water, followed by another night under canvas and a second day on the water, returning home that evening. Of course we can arrange extra nights and days for you; it's just a case of talking to us.

There is also your opportunity to travel through the heart of the Norfolk Broads without ever needing your car! Norwich is 90 minutes from London Liverpool Street, we can collect you from our nearest train station with is Wroxham/ Hoveton Station (local train from Norwich Railway Station) and deliver you to your campsite** where if you required you will find a tent ready pitched** waiting.

You can leave London at 4pm on a Friday afternoon and be settled in and enjoying refreshment at a local hostelry (dependent on the option you choose) by 8pm, ready to start a two day canoe trail the following morning and be back in London by Sunday evening.

*trails can be extended to 3 and 4 nights please call us to discuss.
**additional charges apply.

"I just wanted to say thank you for an excellent trip this weekend. Of course the scenery and the weather were perfect, but we were very impressed with the service provided by Glen who set us off paddling. His care and attention to detail were much appreciated. Thank you."

Which option you choose will be determined by how 'roughty tufty' you are feeling!

Option 1 - Going Wild!

This option is based on 2 nights camping in the woodland campsite and 2 days paddling.
A truly wilderness experience spending both nights beside the river in our basic woodland campsite. This campsite does not have showers (although you can swim in the river - Gin clear water some of the best water quality in the county!), water is provided from jerry cans and there is a self-composting toilet in the middle of a very beautiful and atmospheric wood.
From the woodland site there is a beautiful riverside walk of approximately 25 minutes (about 3km) to the Village of Horstead and Coltishall where there are four of the best pubs in the county!
Campsite fees at the wild woodland site are included in the canoe camping fees

Option 2 - A taste of adventure!

This option is based on 1 night on the Pub Campsite & 1 nights camping in the woodland campsite with 2 days paddling.
You get the best of both worlds. Your first night is spent in a traditional pub campsite with excellent facilities including flushing toilets, hot showers and beer on tap! This campsite is a short drive(1.5miles) from the river.
Campsite fees at the wild woodland site are included in the canoe camping fees, however the camping fees for the first night at the traditional pub campsite are payable directly to the pub.
Your second night is then spent in the woodland campsite right beside the river. This campsite does not have showers (although you can swim in the river - Gin clear; water some of the best water quality in the county!)

Option 3 - Keeping it real!

This option is based on 2 nights camping in the Pub campsite and 2 days paddling.
Hot showers all round! With this option you spend both nights at the pub campsite with full onsite facilities. It does however require you to make 2 short car journeys or 2 two mile walks (one on each day) in order to access the river.
Camping fees at the PUB campsite are payable directly to their campsite. The traditional campsite is to be booked directly. Further information and availability can found here. http://www.skeytongoatinn.co.uk/contact-us/

Option 4 - Going Wild! For one night only!

This option is based on 1 night camping in the woodland campsite and 2 days paddling.
A truly wilderness experience spending one night beside the river in our basic woodland campsite. This campsite does not have showers (although you can swim in the river!), water is provided from jerry cans and there is a self-composting toilet in the middle of a very beautiful and atmospheric wood. From the woodland site there is a beautiful riverside walk of approximately 25 minutes (about 3km) to the Village of Horstead and Coltishall where there are four of the best pubs in the county!
Campsite fees at the wild woodland site are included in the canoe camping fees.
PLEASE NOTE: This option is only available if you CAN GUARANTEE being able to arrive at our meeting point on the first day of the trip by 8.45am. If you miss this pick-up time we cannot guarantee when we could get back to you. A re-arranged pick-up is likely to incur an additional charge. If in doubt you're better off booking to camp the night before.

Please Note

If you are a group looking to "party" into the night this is NOT the right campsite for you so please DO NOT BOOK ONLINE - We can still help you but please call the office so we can discuss the alternatives.

* It is possible to extend your break with additional days canoeing or camping at a rate of £20 per person per day for canoeing and £10.00 per person per night for camping. Please call our office on 01603 783777 for further details.

If you require any further details or would like to talk about other dates, please do not hesitate to contact me either by email info@TheCanoeMan.com or on 01603 783777
